“This place felt as far away from our day-to-day lives as it is in miles. We feel restored by its quietness and beauty.” Henry and Wendy, Cheshire.
Set in absolute peace and stillness is Stable Cottage. We have tried to maintain the original features of the former stable, tack room and carriage shed hence the main room has huge windows and doors creating a light and airy contemporary feel of the outside coming in with interesting art on the walls. There is a plump sofa to curl up on and when you tire of watching the trees and birds, a TV with Sky free-to-view, wireless broadband internet access, DVD player, radio and CD player, a small collection of CD’s and DVD’s and board games will provide entertainment. Underfloor heating under the Caithness stone keeps the cottage warm but you can always light the woodburning stove for a romantic feel. The cupboards are full of locally crafted pottery, there is a fridge, stove, microwave and everthing you need should you decide to eat in.
The bedroom features a four-poster bed, feather duvet and pillows with crisp cotton bedding. We have allergenic alternatives should you require them. The bathroom has a bath with power shower over, plump towels, hand made organic soap and a bathrobe on the back of the door. Light a candle, soak and enjoy!
The cottage is divided from Laundry Cottage by a spacious utility room with washing machine, tumble dryer, hanging space, garden furniture, bbq and doubles as a log store for both cottages, also useful for bikes.
